Gripping the Shore by Jeanne Urban
This big old tree has roots just gripping the soil on the side of the fast running Mattawa River at Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park. The big trunk has green moss and although the bare branches we see give the impression the tree is dead there's plenty of life way above. The rive beyond is alive and the distant mountains send up misty clouds.
